Prague Castle Tour
The
tour is made up of two parts - upper Hradcany, where you’ll visit
the 12th century Strahov Monastery with its baroque library halls and
Loretto pilgrimage place, well-known for its Holly House, carillon and
Treasury. The second part explores Prague Castle, St.Vitus Cathedral
and St.Wenceslas Chapel, the Old Royal Palace, with its late gothic Vladislav
hall, then moving on to the Romanesque 10th century St.George Basilica.
In the eastern part of Prague Castle, you’ll find Golden Lane,
with tiny houses from the Rudolphine period, famous for its legend of
alchemists attempting to produce artificial gold for the emperor.
